DB9 GPS issue
Green bars indicate that it has aquired enough to information from one of the GPS satellites to pin point its position. Red bars indicate that it has signal strength form a satellite, but is unable to acquire enough information from that satellite ( or satellites )to determine its position. Clear bars indicate that it is unable to aquire a signal from any satellite. If the red bars do not change while driving to different locations but the GPS works you might have a problem with the GPS software, a call to Garmin is recommended.
Can you tell us where you have the vehicle for these hours? If its in your garage, or under any type of overhang, well then you have your answer already. You didn't mention where it was located, just the issue your having. The above would explain the current issue your having, along with what others have posted.
My car is outside in open driveway in Saint Johns, FL. I had it towed in enclosed trailer to AM dealership in Orlando, FL to fix a flat tire. On my way back I noticed bars are red and GPS shows my current location is my home 120 miles away ! AM service noticed there is only one satellite visible on GPS and reset the battery hoping that will fix. But it didn't. We decided to wait and see and I started driving home. After an hour, GPS picked up and there are 4 solid signal bars. An hour later it started acting up again and shows that I am somewhere. There might be a problem with the GPS software like "embdenb" posted. I will check with Garmin and also have AM service look at it.

Ok, that explains that. You would be surprised (likely not really surprised) at what some people post saying an issue, when in reality after finding out the background information, it wasn't an issue.
But in this case, definitely likely a software issue, or possibly a loose connection for some reason with the GPS Antennae. Garmin probably wont be any help at all for this. ANYONE you get ahold of will probably not have ever even seen an Aston in person, much less know what models sell now. So AM is the best place for this.
Maybe IRISH can pipe in on this, if he is still around

For the record- I think Aston Martin has some kinda GPS Jinks! I have a hard understanding why GPS technology doesn't seem to want to work in such a fine car
. OK mine is a MY07, but the last time my GPS cover was even open..... it was by mistake by my wife.

I don't think it's a loose connection. On the off chance that the satellite that you have locked on to is on the fritz, take the car out for a drive. If the red bars persist, I would get on one of the Garmin lists or contact Garmin directly.
