I don't mind the DBS, I've always felt it was just too busy for my taste. I really don't like saying this, but the front bumper and side skirts look after market to me.
On first look at the VH cars in the early 2000s they just looked right in every way. All of them. Although I do agree actually that the proportions make the Vantage the best looking, personal opinion. They hit a home run right away. This car is more polarizing, it's not "right" like the previous cars are. It's interesting, and more aggressive, but also busy and less cohesive. It lost some elegance.
I honestly think its the wheels!!!!! Put a set of HRE P101s on it and I bet the look totally changes. AM went with the Diamond cut outsides and the dark colored insides which I believe takes away a lot from how its viewed. Or sport pack style wheels. I really bet that makes a huge difference.
I also saw some side angle pics of a DB11 and first thought was it looked like a futuristic Camaro.
Vantages look great and are visually stunning. Sporty, then the V12V makes the sporty classy look aggressive.
DB9s are classy gentlemen cars while the DBS brings out the younger aggressive part of that vehicle.
Vanquish is a blend of the two, while statesmen like, still sporty but a large car still.
Over Zealous Eaters, who rely on comfort foods, need loving too. Many styles for everyones liking
When I first saw DB11 prototype, I too thought it looked like a Camaro. I have a 2015 DB9 Carbon Edition and still think it looks far better than DB11. In DB11, the different driving modes and electronics really made a big difference.
There were rumors of a naturally aspirated V12 along side twin turbo. Anybody has more info on that and why this DB11 is called 'Launch Edition' ?

This is a guess but launch edition is usually marketing speak for when the new model is introduced. They usually make standard a set of options and try to make some minor appearance items like paint color that are unique to the launch edition. Then of course they sell it for a premium.
DB11 lost all the classic Aston lines, in my opinion it's just another car.
For me Vantage proportions are just perfect car. Nothing comes close to it.

Gotta say, I love the DB11 in person. Not a fan of some of the interior design, and really don't like the stuck-on nav screen (WHY can't they stop doing this???). But the exterior is just stunning. Far, far better in person than in pics.
Do they have one at the store in Tysons? If so I will have a look and decide for myself.
Regarding the stuck on screen, I think it's temporary across all the brands and in 10-15 years everyone will shake their heads and wonder why so many cars did that back then. Like avocado and harvest yellow kitchen appliances back in the 70's.

Might be wrong, but that doesn't look like the showroom at Tysons. Should be large and 2 story glass across the front, that looks like its in a corner. But if Telum01 took it not out of town, then probably is.
