Removing arm rest on Vantage

Anyone know how to do this? Trying to install a new shift lever surround and center console panel. Thanks.

I removed the silver aluminum bar and the two screws under the cup holder, but it seems like there may be two more screws or something holding down the backside.

On the earlier ones there is one screw at the backside, directly underneath the aluminum bar. Do you see one there?

It may have the same slot the earlier ones have. Try pulling up and backwards on it to remove it. Here's a video showing the slot on the leading edge of my '07.

I got the arm rest off- there a leather area behind the armrest that pulls up. Now I got to figure out how to pull off the ***** from the console. Any idea how to do that?

When it is time to re-install, just start the 2 screw inside the cub holder to the plate underneath but leave the screws loose so that you can slide the console back. The plate will hook up and then you just have to tight them up. Hope everything goes well from here, good luck
