'07 v '09 DB9

hi

presented with a 2007 DB9 and a 2009, both manual transmission, both top shelf condition

the '07 is a private sale
'09 from an AM dealer and a more unique color combo

are there significant differences, upgrades, advancements between the two to support paying $20-25K more for the '09 ???

thanks

You can have it in a day and if you're serious about 'joining the club' it's a must accessory.

Yes...Smart to buy...Explains both years...09 was lower production but less problems as upgrades, software, and better inspection done by AM..
the book is important...Good free advice

09 has 20 more hp from the top of my hat and they have a new style dash. I preferred the older style one. Seats are the same etc. try to get one with sports pack if you can find one.

Just buy the one you like to most! have fun and show some pics when you get her.

Isn't the sports pack a V8 Vantage item?

if you want the "OLD SCHOOL" aston go pre-facelift

can't go wrong with either other than future collectibility i strongly believe.

They start to offer the sports pack on the late 2006 db9. I have a 2007 with sports pack and i love it! makes the gt a little bit more nimble and you get more feedback from the road.

But for any db9 you can get a sports pack now. it will just cost you some extra $$$$

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

Anyone know what an AM dealer would charge for a pre-purchase inspection ?? Roughly

I'd go with the 2009, there were more improvements than just the extra horsepower and console IIRC but confirm by reading 'the book'

Cost of inspection as stated varies...My dealer programed a key and did inspection with written report for 400.
keep in mine sports package handles great but a firmer ride...If you want a soft American feel...Sports package will disappoint...If you like a car that handles corners with no lateral movement sports is it...I have an 09 with sports package...Also remember the engine does not control the car the transmission is the brains on auto shift...Good luck...A decent car can be bought for 55000 and under with under 30000 miles...
