Unusual advise needed

I am always bashing anything not Aston because we are all pure Aston guys, that said I need some advise on my other daily driver.
I have in the last week not driven any car but the Mustang GT, really enjoy its raw very unlike Aston features, spin the back tyres at my discretion and it really gets the thumbs up from blue collar types

The thing that bothers me is the 5.0 chrome badge on the side, and I am looking to remove them and I will need to place a more elegant sticker or badge in its place ....any ideas?

I have always liked a V8 427 sticker as seen on some serious American muscle cars but this thing is only 305 inches so it's a bit naff.

Don't even know where to start looking for a suitable badge so any advice appreciated

Why advertise? Always claim the least and have the most! Run a 2.3L or a 3.7L emblem.

If it's glued on, just remove it. The people that know cars (expecially American muscle cars) will instantly know the sound of the Coyote V-8. The ones that do not, you don't care about.

Ha! 20+ years ago when Isuzu came out with their first SUV looking vehicle I stripped it of badges and purchased some vinyl lettering from the hardware store. Put Lamborghini on the sides and rear. Amazing how many people at gas stations would walk up and ask about my Lamborghini.

Have some fun and badge it as a Honda!

While I understand your ideas Capt...my thoughts are why pretend the car is something it is not? You are a man's man...leave it alone...seems sleazy to me.

With respect it's the sleazy badge I wish to remove . Have you looked at the new mustang ? and seen how fugly that 5.0 badge is? The badge it looks like some plastic stick on one would get at Midas the rest of the car is ok - we won't compare interior of it to a German or British built car

Americans make great things but they are very slow with the finer details of automobile detail. Almost as if it was 5,year old kid who simply stuck this great big oversized badge on the side.

I'm going with no badge as suggested, I think the cleaner the lines the better, as for Aston owners we don't see the sise of the motor printed anywhere on the exterior of the vehicle and I kinda like that, but was hoping I could get a retro V8 type badge to fit

My daily driver is a 2014 BMW 328d and it is debadge from day 1, you would be amazed to see how many people don't know that BMW makes diesel car specially at the pump... some told my wife before that she shouldn't put diesel in her BMW over the speaker :-)

Agree that over here they love to slap stickers, stripes, scoops and spoilers on everything. And most of the time the scoops have been non-functional. I'd go with the debadge too. Even on clothes it's hard to find a nice polo or oxford that doesn't have their brand logo staring at you.

Hi Capt...good points from others too...I understand your thoughts better...

My son is a Huge Mustang guy...always doing some mods...in the USA there are so many Mustangs that the badges tell a true Mustang guy what type of car...engine etc...

Recently when my son was at a car show they disqualified a mustang as the owner changed badges to appear better than it was...

Where you live...and I often forget...sorry, it is very different than in the USA....so I agree go naked on the car...not you...lol

Safe driving!
