DB9 - Navigation unit removal

Anyone know how to remove the 3 rivets holding the nav bracket to the seat frame?

On a side note, the St.Pete Aston dealer Tech told me the ICM was the dash gauges and what was causing the radio to not work was a bad CRM. When I told him the ICM was in the center console, he told me oh, that is the RCM ( I was like WTF) and so I explained that if he checked with Aston, he would find out the ICM was in the CC and my CRM was just replaced. Then he told me my less then 1 year old battery was bad and my Multi Media player was most likely bad. I just told them to get my car back together and I would think about that.

So, do not go to Dimmitt for ANYTHING!!

Hi Randy,
The only way to remove rivets is drilling them, well you might laser the head off as well but his is over the top
Why do you want to remove the nav bracket?
I pass on all 3 letter abreviated modules, what are you trying to fix?

You sure they are rivets, the navigation module is usually mounted by TORX head screws.

Yep I agree, obviously the Tech had now clue to what he was talking about.

Contact Rich at REDPANTS, he took mine out completely so he will know. Also contact SdeKonig a member on here, he completely knows how to remove.

Yes, but they are weird, the seem to have a ring on the inside of the tip of the rivet that holds the rivet in place, I have never seen anything like it. Not sure why the did not use a nut and a bolt or torx screw.
