'09 V8V roadster door lock issue

Out of nowhere my passenger door won't open as when I unlock the vehicle with my fob the passenger side window doesn't open a few inches to allow the door to open. Driver side works fine. The only thing I can think of that I recently did is keep the passenger door open for about 20 minutes while I used a portable air compressor plugged into my 12V slot in the center console. Door lock was working fine prior to that. I was not running the engine while using the compressor.
Anybody experience a similar door lock issue? Any ideas of where to begin looking for the problem? I was thinking maybe a fuse blew, but then my driver door wouldn't work either.
I appreciate any advice.

There is a fuse for each door...under the passenger footwell carpet front, (vertical firewall) pull the carpet back there is a panel with I think 8 screws. Remove the panel and the fuse block is right there. The two fuses are behind the wire bundle that runs down in front of the panel. Verify your fuse numbers (possibly 82 and 83) and check that, see if that helps?

If the fuses are ok You may also try to pull the fuses for about 30 seconds to reset the door modules, they might have **** themselves by whatever reason. Easy to do and worth a try.

Thank you both for your reply. Amazingly it fixed itself and I have no idea why. Yesterday was a gorgeous day so I dropped the top (for which I had to lower the passenger window so it could operate) and headed for my round of golf. When I went to close the top the door was operating as if nothing has happened.
Having owned British cars before this doesn't phase me nor surprise me either.
However knowing that fuses are involved and where they're located is of great help and good to know

I wonder if your battery was low, given you indicated running a compressor for 20 minutes without the engine running.

Could be driving your car renewed the battery enough.

Forum experience is that low batteries cause all sorts of odd behaviors.

Hi...great the problem corrected itself...but the advice given you is correct. You drained the battery.
Just a thought but buy a battery tender and leave plugged in the next time you are using the car electrical to power.

Why AM does not have a built in tender for a car that has so many crazy modules needing power all the time makes no sense for a 200000 car...

Safe driving....

Plus one to what 62Jeff said!
If you just drive it or run it up periodically you should be fine.
These cars can be funny sometimes.

Thank you all. I will buy a battery tender as winter is coming and I plan to cover the car and not drive it. That said, on the convertible I notice the plug for the tender is in the trunk so I assume the trunk has to stay open at least a crack thus the tender provides enough charge to keep the trunk light from draining the battery. Is that what you experience? Any issues?

That is the configuration on my DB9, I just gently close the trunk lid onto the wire after ensuring the wire is flat on the weatherstrip (minimizes risk of leaving a mark in the weatherstrip), then press the lid until it latches.

Hi...I have a coupe but the same for the tender. Just use a front outlet, I would believe there is one in the front of the car if you feel an issue.
I have my trunk open with the tender all the time. The car turns the lights off after awhile so no drain anyway.
Good luck...you will be happier using the tender. Oh...you do not need a high price one...buy one at Walmart...Advance Auto...etc....

Yes, I agree I've seen some very reasonable priced tenders. Thanks for confirming the connections
