Velocity AP ECU flashing tool
Hi Guys,
I received my VelocityAP ECU flashing tool yesterday and went to the car this morning to upload my ECU information to the device. However, when i connect the device to the car and select the Vantage there is no option for the 4.7 V8VS, only 4.2 version to select from. Has anyone else had this issue? I've emailed Stuart at VAP but thought I'd check here. I've attached an image to show what I'm getting.
I'm bummed about this as I was excited to start the process and now I'm stuck.

I've sent a similar email.
When connected to the computer I did notice that one if the roadster options lists a 4.7 420 HP Sportshify option.
Still not the 430 HP option with sport exhaust on the Vantage S... But I'm waiting for a similar reply.
I also learned the hard way that the software doesn't work on a VM running on a Mac, requiring me to go buy a Windows PC...

Batman that sucks you had to buy a PC. I'm a Mac guy, but luckily my work laptop is Windows.
It's strange you have a 4.7 option and I don't.

I did the download when I first opened it and verify that I have the FW: 147 on the VTech tool.
My computer screen for the available cars to select from is the same as your second image.

Batman, Stuart just told me that all the V8 vantage protocols are the same, you can pick any of them.

My tool didn't read the ECU so they sent me another that just arrived. I haven't tried this one. I'm getting my bi-annual emissions test today and thought I wait until after that is completed.

Hi Guys,
FYI - the options we can load to the tool are configured by the supplying company. We haven't gone through it in great detail with them, because in actual fact, every single on of the V8 read/write protocols are the same.
So it doesn't really matter which one you pick, since it is just the protocol to read/write it is going to pull off whatever is on your vehicle when you read it.

Still waiting for my mod file.
I’m looking for a Dyno in the North Bay to get some real world results for the 430HP “S” engine.
I’m curious as to the differences in gain for different base builds.
Anyone have recommendations on shops?
