sweyant is infamous around these parts
I was curious about the results for attempted hydraulic over coilovers system Ricky G and Supraholic had been discussing. I would love lower my car and not drive in fear of speed bumps and sharp-angled entryways. I don't track my car so not so concerned with performance. Has anyone used this before https://www.ravspec.com/shop/air-str...martin-vantage ? Or had any experience with this company http://www.brrperformance.com/blog/?p=1990

Exe-TC certainly has a good reputation in the Porsche community. Are you able to be more specific/descriptive in saying how the Exe-TC is better than OEM? Can you give some specific examples of how you feel the handling and suspension control are transformed? Is there a specific set of corners or compressions/bumps that you find are dealt with better?

Do you happen to know the height adjustment range of the Exe-TC setup? (It would appear that you can leave the ride height at OEM based on your post, but can it go lower?)

Did Exe-TC give you spring rates so we can compare them to OEM?

Exe-TC's website is pretty basic, and I cannot find any Aston-specific information. How is the "25 stage adjustment" done on your setup? When you refer to "firm/soft" are you referring to separate adjustments for rebound and compression (your original post said you were going with "1-way" so I am uncertain as to your exact setup).
This is the first set Exe-TC have produced for a DBS. They have made Vantage sets for rally applications and worked on various Bond movie cars so they have a good understanding of Aston Martin chassis. I know their Chief Engineer so we worked together on my set. As mentioned mine is a road set up so I supplied Exe-TC with data from my car in standard form; ride heights, corner weights and geometry. With this data they designed the set including specifying and supplying Eibach springs, sorry I don't have the rates but they are softer than standard. The dampers are 1-way so just a single adjuster for both bump and rebound with 25 positions, I have them set to 17 off hard with the ride height at standard. It would be possible to lower the ride height as they are a fully threaded coil over. The front adjusters can be accessed at the top mount under the bonnet but you need to drop the wheel arch liner to access the rear adjusters

With the OE switchable Bilstiens in hard setting the car was too nervous. On bumpy UK B roads it was unstable, stepping out when power was applied and bouncing at the rear. In soft mode it rolled too much and felt like the rear loaded wheel was undamped, trying to fold itself under the car when cornering at speed. I have benchmark piece of road I use, fast, open sweeping corners with great visibility. As standard the car was impossible to drive at speed in hard and vague in soft. It would corner at 80-90 mph but it wasn't enjoyable, now 100mph is easy with massively improved steering feel

Its a manual and I run Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's, with the new suspension its the perfect car for me

Thank you for the detailed response! Your description of the rear wheels' behaviour under load is very interesting. On my previous V8V I had a similar sensation, almost like the car was bobbing or twisting diagonally. This behaviour was also present but to a lesser degree in my previous V12V, and to an even lesser degree in my current V12VS, but it is still there. It sounds like this can be eliminated based on your comments.
