hi and thx for the welcome

XKR was certainly a lot fast to the point that when you overtook on a uk a/b road you would say sod it I can take all of them and your **** wold be clenching as you looked down to seen 130 + mph

The xkr was also more of a gt - think DB9

BUT I love the involved drive and whines of the Aston and long term my licence will be safer, but I did get a ticket within an hour and a half when driving Aston home from dealer ps it did not make it home as the supposedly new clutch blew

On the XKR I put on 62k miles in 2 and a half years and had no issues hopefully will achieve similar in the Vantage

Was that a 4.2 or 5.0 XKR? The vertical gills could be either one.

It was a 5.0 litre so 510hp

Vantage is a manual and yes clutch was supplied and fitted FOC

Still have a couple of gremlins to work through namely sat nav screen that dims right down when engine is started and the gearchange baulks especially 1st to 2nd even when warm

My 09 was a little bit hard to shift from 1st to 2nd until warm, I flush the brake/clutch pedal fluid although at the callipers it was fairly clean at the clutch nipple under the car it was coming out black as if it was never done.... that improve the clutch feel 100% and later I flush the transaxle using the Unicorn Blood (Castrol BOT270a) which cost me about $80 a liter and needed 5 of them. Now everything is nice and smooth, good luck
