Need Hood Latch Part Number

Hi, I need part number for DBS 2010 hood latch. It's a volvo part, AM is selling it over $200. Maybe If someone can give me part number I can try to get from Volvo instead

Wow, that's cool but the part number does not match completely. Any idea if it will be the same for DBS?

Try changing the selection to DBS V12 instead of DB9 and see if that makes a difference.

Question

The part number for DB9 4G43-16B768-AF and for DBS 8D33-16B768-AA
I tried to match up the pictures, they seem to have some difference. The metal hook on DBS seems to be longer and different shaped that DB9. I do not have any more clear pictures to compare and say for sure

Are you trying to find it cheaper than astonbits, seems like it's around 100usd from them?

Even if you found one from Volvo, it's not going to be much cheaper than astonbits, think you would need to try pick-and-pull yards. I'd look into S40 and S60 vehicles around that year era (especially body style changes that would require a new striker latch), anything earlier would be DB9 style. With DBs having a different bonnet, most likely the DB9 stiker wouldn't pass frontal impact. Which is why the striker and hinge lop are different between early DB9 vs DBS.

What is wrong with your existing latch? Can't it just be repaired? It's not exactly a high tech piece of kit
