Got T-boned
Hi, small update. I still don’t have an estimate on the repair cost yet. Either way I think I’ll sell the car right after it’s fixed.
Anyway, I didn’t see a doctor until yesterday because my neck and shoulders didn’t hurt immediately, but the pain had gotten gradually worse about a week after the accident and I thought it would just go away and I don’t like going to doctors. I called their adjuster and they offered me a small settlement amount. Do you guys think I have a case if I hired a personal injury attorney? Would that attorney have to also be the one handling diminished value and loss of use, or can I use a different one? I got all kinds of conflicting information. Thanks for your help

If an adjuster is offering you money... there's blood in the water and they want out as quickly as possible.
You certainly have a case, latent injury is common with impacts— get yourself taken care of, and wait out the estimate. Health above all else, and then get a lawyer to sit on their neck.
The person who hit you was driving a Jag, right? High likelyhood they have big limits on their policy, don't take anything the insurance company is offering, their primary goal is to get you to sign a release form for as little money as possible.
I wont comment on the dual-laywer idea much, but I don't see how a personal injury lawyer could do well to litigate diminished value and visa versa. You want two people with two specialties.
Again, good luck.
I would talk to an attorney over this, but as @bolteon said take care of your health first. As far as your pain, I recommend seeing a chiropractor over a pain management clinic. I have been in a couple of accidents and had the same symptoms come up days after the accident (did both types of treatment). You don't want to get into pain shots and PT when a few adjustments and maybe some Graston technique is all you need.
What's the hold up on giving you a repair estimate?

Use professionals for you and to repair the car ( there are authorized Aston repair facilities)
In your situation, the car is the least important thing in the mix. There may be a legal office in your area that has in-house well established expertise to handle your cars damage and your injuries. Get good medical attention. Injuries often have longer than expected effects.
Good luck on both issues.

Never ever agree or sign anything yourself. Whatever they offer is small compared to what fair market value of car repairs, and health. Hire a professional. Sure they get 30% but they handle it for you.
Agree with the above. Regarding attorneys, I would first be concerned with your health and then hire an attorney with expertise in injury claims. He/she will tell you how to proceed, if necessary. Hopefully, it is not required and you feel better soon. For the diminished value, I consider that secondary. Would think you can handle that without legal counsel. Hiring an attorney doesn't always solve the dilemma, and can be very expensive. What I don't understand is why you are contacting the other insurance company. It all should be through your insurance company. All these calls are recorded, so you need not to step on your claim statements, as it evolves. Wish you a speedy recovery.
Ok so the accident was a month ago and still no estimate ?
A reputable shop should be able to do it in a week max , where is the car right now ?
Somethings seems not right here to me or maybe it how things are dealt within the US ?

Sorry for the delay, and thanks for the responses.
I’m having trouble finding a personal injury lawyer to take my case since I didn’t see a doctor right away. I did go to one and got some treatments last week, but it’s still bothering me and being out of town for work most of the time doesn’t help with having time to find places for PT.
The shop is very reputable, a certified AM repair shop. I’ve called every week but they say the estimate needs to be hand written and the system was down or whatever, so I’m still waiting for the estimate.
Yes this is very frustrating

Andy Palmer is on twitter . Dollars to donuts if you tweet to him about the poor service you will have your estimate within hours .
He doesnt take kindly to customers recieveing bad service from the dealers .

I advise this as well. Even an authorized body shop must maintain some standards to retain its certification. Hit him up Twitter and I bet you'll get a response within 24 hours from him.
In 1986 I was going to buy a new Piper Malibu from the dealer in Minneapolis for $385,000 and instead found a 50 hour Malibu with 0 time on firewall forward new engine and prop (part of a free replacement offered by Piper because of problems) for $250,000. Then the dealer called me and said, good luck finding a maintenance shop to service your Malibu in the state. I called Stuart Millar, Pipers CEO, and repeated what the dealer said. The next morning at 8:00AM I'm sitting in the dealers office with a VP at Piper who flew in the evening before- and that VP said: 'Not only are you going to service Mr Harrison, but you are going to give him the best possible service or lose your dealership'. For the next 4 years I had that plane, they provided great service.
