Madmap is infamous around these parts
Ok thanks everyone. I think I know which one might be the culprit. Appreciate all the good advice.

Ok I think this is the culprit. Maybe shorting out when the bare wires hit each other? I take it I need a new one?!

You can get a new one from Scuderia Parts for less than $100, I would just replace it. When I do the cats, I would turn the sesnor maybe like 10 turns CCW so when the O2 sensors are fitted the wires wouldn't be twisted 10 turns or so CW. Hope you know what I mean (hard to explain).

Thanks. I do know what you mean and tried that when I installed them into the new cats but boy this one was so close to the top of the heat shield and on an angle that I think I wasn’t threading it in properly. It spun in really tight and required a wrench to turn it to tighten it up so hope I didn’t strip any threads in the cat. I will just tighten it in the cat first before plugging it in so it will spin freely. Thanks for the tip in where to find it cheaper.

So the number off of my o2 sensor is 1S6F-9G444-AA. I can’t seem to find that part number on the Scuderia site. Is there a cross reference part number that is compatible with this one? Thanks.

This is my part number for an o2 in a 14 v8 vantage: BG33-9G444-AB , not sure if same on a 4.3. Ordered from Scuderia this past week ($90 bs $383 at the dealer!) for a p0161 code - bank 2 sensor 2 (passenger downstream sensor) that went bad immediately after putting vap cat and muffler on. Not sure if it was bumped, have been ignoring it for a year with the read button but need to finally get it replaced since it’s like change time as well. Guess I should check the fuse too but this is the only code I’m getting so doesn’t sound like a short.

It was mentioned above that bank 1 is right side - dealer told me bank 2 is passenger (right side) but vap told me bank 2 is driver side (left side). Maybe the confusion is some of these cars are right hand drive in UK? For my left drive us car, can someone confirm if bank 2 is left/driver or right/passenger for me? Thank you!

Thanks. Not sure that part number will work with my 06 Vantage. Was hoping someone well more versed in part numbers might know if the one you mentioned you got from Scuderia will work or if I need my exact same part number. Seems so simple yet so confusing.....
