Vantage fuel sender

Can anyone advise me what if any generic fuel sender will work in the V 8
mine has gone mad, Aston 40 sent me some pics of his failed unit its shows VDO and I'm thinking Aston certainly did not build a bespoke sender for a car that has many Volvo or Ford parts.
i can import a part but it will take a few days and I will pay huge import and freight costs so I'm thinking if I can get one from VDO or a alternative car parts dealer it will help.

I see Telum01 had an issue back in 2014? Rich did you get sorted? Can I rewind the rheostat? Can I find an alternative part. I understand the open condition is 204 ohms and closed is 10 ohms
