DB9 "Boot Open" Error
DB9 "Boot Open" Error
Hi everyone, new DB9 owner here. My 2005 DB9 sometimes gives me a "Boot Open" error even though the boot is closed. I checked and when it's closed, there doesn't seem to be any remaining play in the boot top (it doesn't rattle or move). What should I adjust or fix to remedy this issue?
Car has only 5700k miles on it, though I don't expect that matters.

I had an intermittent false "Trunk Open" message for a couple of months. Replaced the trunk latch assembly (6G33-31253052-AA) and haven't had a problem since.
It's a fairly easy DIY and the part is about $100 USD delivered from the UK.
There's nothing to adjust, so it's most likely a failing microswitch/sensor.

Here's on old thread with no resolution reported: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...n-warning.html
Having had it apart I'm pretty sure there's no adjustment possible, unless you're going to make up shims or something.
The assembly bolts into place with very little play.
