DB9 check engine light - engine system service - throttle actuator?
Actually, I was wrong about the mirrored parts. the casing is mirrored, but the internal parts are not.
I found that the throttle pots are a really poor design with just tiny hair like wires joining the internal circuit board to the connector pins. Only one end of the wires appears to be attached, with it seemingly relying on a spring action to contact the other side. Either that, or all of one end had come unstuck (didn't appear to be soldered). I replaced my throttle pedal assembly from a later model which worked immediately. I didn't dare take it apart to see if it's such a poor design.

how were you able to get to the 2 top bolts on the pedal assembly? I’m going through this now. 2006 db9. Been sitting all winter. Go to start it after priming the oil and get these dreaded codes. And car is not running right. Ordered a used assembly from a late model rapide. But having a hell of a time reaching the top bolts

So just an update. Like to come back and post progress for anyone else having this issue. Yeah laying on your back pretty much upside down is the way to get at those bolts. They’re 8mm. The 2 connectors come off easy after it’s loose. But this fixed my issue. No more check engine light and the car is firing on all 12! I used a pedal from a 2014 rapide. Accelerator Gas Pedal Assembly 8d33-9n734-ac Oem Aston Martin Rapide 2014 Was the eBay listing. Part numbers are different. The base is slightly thicker on the rapide assembly. But it still fit. There are some differences in the assembly like the location of the spring. I should’ve took pictures prior to installing.

Trainwreck (great handle BTW
I went to my 09 DBS (6speed) tonight and did the old oil circulation move that I've done a thousand times in the past, only to end up exactly where you did. Tried to get the pedal down after reading up on the issue and just couldn't get in there at the top bolts. Was afraid to just get a socket on it, with a couple woblers, that If I were lucky to spin them out, I couldn't imagine how I'd get them back in. Was considering removing the driver seat as I HATE crawling over my leather, so I guess that's going to be the approach. My scan tool isn't the best but tons of codes, sounding very similar to whats been posted here.
A nearly new, second hand pedal is all it took to correct this? I could only get 1 of the plugs to pop loose, so getting the pedal unbolted is the only option to get better access.
Can't the 2 sensors just be replaced? That has to be cheaper?.. Right?
There was a safety recall for throttle pedals for a range of DB’s several years ago. If your car was in range and not done, the dealers are still required to replace the pedal assembly AFAIK. My DBS (240) was in the recall range, FYI.
The car won't start, and the nearest dealer is about 75 miles from my location. So need to figure that out I guess. Thank you again for responding!
