DB9 check engine light - engine system service - throttle actuator?

Getting lots of errors.

Don't suppose anyone has had similar issues or can help me relax. Panic mode!

I suspect the root of all these codes starts with the pedal position disagreement. If the two sensors are telling the ECUs that the throttle pedal is at two different positions, that would cause all sorts of chaos.

Db9 , urgent engine service

Both your throttle bodies need cleaning , easy 30 min job for both. I had exactly the same some months ago and engine went into limp mode.Found bodies well gunged up with oil.A good clean and all was well

I had a fault on my MY05 DB9 a while back when only one of the two throttle bodies would operate. Turned out there are two potentiometers mounted on the throttle pedal, One controls the right side throttle body and another controls the left. I replaced it with a servicable unit. Problem solved.

The problem here is pedal pot disagreement as shown on the screen capture. The throttle bodies may need a good clean, but that won't fix the pot disagreement problem. That's the first thing to sort out.

Agreed, The pots are mounted on the throttle pedal assy. Very common for these to fail. At one point I believe owners were pressing AM to issue a recall. Another symptom in my instance was a noticeable amount of radio interference in correlation to depressing the peddle that also cleared upon replacement.

Thanks everyone for the replies. We cleaned the throttle bodies and changed the throttle pedal back in Feb. Still the same issue.

Can you share what you mean by pedal pot disagreement? And what can I do to resolve this?

On the first screen shot, 49 and 4A have wildly different values for the throttle pedal position. It's telling the ECU for bank A one level of power demand, and the bank B ECU a completely different level of power demand. The ECU's compare the data, resulting in a disagreement. If the two pots don't match within some pretty tight tolerance, you aren't going to be able to run both sides of the engine equally. That will end up generating all sorts of codes and reduce/limit power available.

Until you get matching readings from the throttle pedal position pots, you are wasting your time looking at any othe faults. They may not be the source of all the faults, but they are the source of most of them.
