DB9 LED turn signals

Hello,

Has anybody successfully swapped out the turn signals in the headlights and the side repeaters with Amber LED bulbs? If so, which brand/model did you use? I tried the Philips 3157W LED bulbs for the headlight signals and the 194W LED for the side repeaters but they didn’t seem to light up at all. The 194W LEDs worked fine in the headlight driving light.

Looking for a solution to get rid of the orange in the headlights!

Thanks!

I tried swapping with LEDs as well and they did not work. They were expensive bulbs that were supposed to be error free.
Instead I ended up getting a set of standard bulbs that are coated in silver but blink orange. Plenty of options available online and on eBay etc. just order the right bulb type and you’ll be good to go. I don’t have side repeaters on my dbs so not sure what’s best there but I’d imagine you can find the same. Also don’t know if you’re in the US but if you are and have the front and rear side markers I replaced those bulbs with LED with no issue along with the front parking light bulbs in the headlights and the high beam bulbs.

Did you go with a single filament 3156 or dual filament 3157 for the headlight side blinkers?

I couldn't find LED for the front indicators but I did for the side repeaters. Shame as the front indicators aren't the easiest to get too! I did change them out of the chrome covered ones however just to get rid of the orange glow when they are off. But the flash orange when in use.
