Just had 5 year done on my V12VS; manual says coolant should be changed (just as with V8V); done by dealer and included in service cost, no extra charge.

For the record, I may be one of the few Vantage owners that did pay 150K for their car. In fact, I paid a bit more, because the car was fully optioned out and to my exact specifications.

I'll probably get some OEM Coolant and have an independent do it.
Agreed and my apologies. I thought you just bought the car somehow. My dealer would not do that. I would contact AM NA corp and voice your concern.

Out of curiosity is it a full on citric acid flush (common in the Mercedes world) or are they just draining and refilling the radiator?

New to my Vantage. Just had mine performed too. Price was a little over 2k, is that what everyone is finding? Thanks!

Typical Aston Vantage services range from $1500-2500 (depending on year) from what I have read on here.

Wow, $2k. They can keep selling cars at a loss if they can get that kind of money for a simple fluid change. That's about 10x parts cost.

My 650s was $500 more! Excuse the naivety, I am new to Aston. Is there some type of parts to labor matrix for the maintenances? Would love to know for the future. Thanks!

No, labor is calculated based on the estimate of time required to do the job x whatever the dealer's rate is. But even if the labor rate is $250/hr (which is very high), they are saying that it takes 7 hours to change fluids, which is about 3x what it takes me in my garage with a floor jack and jack stands.

it takes a long time to change the batteries in the remotes... ha ha ha

usually dealers charge a flat rate...I would expect every item recommended by Aston in their maintenance sheet to be checked, replaced, e.t.c.

I actually don't mind (too much) with the $1600+ annual service because when I do have an actual problem or other needs, they always get me right in. Is the service a ridiculous price? Absolutely, but they certainly are not making any money selling new Aston's and it's nice having an Aston dealer within walking distance of my office and not much farther than my home, and I remember the painful days when the closest Aston dealer was Chicago, an 8 hour drive away! The annual is a requirement of the warranty which is also absurd. When I get my C8 Vette, the annual service requirement to keep warranty in effect, wait, uh, what annual service requirement? IAnyway, cannot say anything but praise for the service department at Morries, and if it takes paying a bit (lot) more - well, I'm somewhat OK with that. My buddy saves some money by doing some of the work under their supervision, which is also a nice thing. Not sure how many Aston service centers allows that.

This is standard practice. It applies to all new car warranties. But its important to note that YOU, the owner, are allowed to do it yourself or take it to any independent shop and the warranty has to be upheld. This is federal law. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus...s_Warranty_Act

I actually went back to the dealer with what you had mentioned, because after reading this I felt taken advantage of. They want to hire you!
