Best Place to Get Racing Jack in the USA?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but my search wasn't yielding what i was looking for.
I have an Aston Martin DB9 and need to buy a jack and jack stands. I see a lot of recommendations for jacks to buy over in the UK, but not many here in the states. Where are folks with low cars like a DB9 going to get their jacks and jack stands, here in the states?
Also worth noting that i have a coated garage floor with the paint chips and clear coat, and anything that would not scratch the floor would be a huge plus.

Hi Calcifer,
I use a low profile Harbor Freight jack - it's low profile enough to fit under the sills, and well made. It's similar to this one, although mine a 2 ton.

My jack stands are run of the mill auto store ones.
Have a look at the redpants.lol description for lifting a car safely.

I sell jack point adapters if you are interested - please see my signature below.

Nice job on the Jack adapters!
If my kids are lurking, those would make a great Xmas gift!

Another Harbor freight jack user here. Easily low enough for an Aston. But ALWAYS remember to use jack stands.
On the Quickjack, If you buy an open box or referb from quickjack.com it's cheaper than Costco.

Daytona jack from HF is tempting every time I see it. If my 25y+ old jack quits I'll get one.
Also fan of the Quick Jack system and if you apply "Parsons Racing" it will discount $150 plus the holiday sale is $off till 12/2.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm actually leaning toward the quickjack systems since they aren't too much more than a nice jack and jack stands. Given that a DB9 had very specific points on the side of the car that it can be lifted, do we need any adapters for these to be used safely on our cars?
I use a Quick Jack (XL5000 I think) with my DB9, together with Matt's jack pads.
You can get by with just the rubber blocks that come with the Quick Jack, but Matt's jack pads make it easier to line everything up.

you'll need a 'low profile' jack. the 2-2.5 ton models are tiny, can be had for 30 bucks, light, and have a short handle. the 3 ton models are three times the size, five times the weight, have a handle four times the length, and cost 7-10 times as much (and look like they'll outlast a bristlecone pine) . most have metal wheels, but i've seen some advertised with some sort of plastic/urethane covering on them.

I've asked for some of your pads for Christmas but they were sold out, last I checked. Hopefully they come back in stock!
