Awesome solution and great use of a 3D printer! How deep did you make the honeycomb?

Glad to hear your initial report indicates a positive fix. After a few drives my LTFT’s dropped completely down and ranging between 0-3%. Anything between +/-10% is within normal operating conditions.

The honeycomb is 20 mm deep. CEL still off and car runs smooth.

That is really cool stuff. I think you should talk to Stuart @ VelocityAP to have those include as part of the delete kit. Great job

Thus far we have only seen a similar issue on a V12VS (Bosch ECUs) car. A couple of people have previously reported stuck rich/lean codes but these were resolved by locating air ingress points post-MAF.

An insert to create more laminar flow is something we started looking at. We recently acquired a 3d Printer, so we may actually be able to start 3D printing the entire bracket and include a screen like this as part of the assembly.

I can help out engineering the honeycombs. Would be great to test different dimensions of the straightener on a Dyno.

The first time there were quite a few - P0130, P0150, P0171, P0174, P1000, and on inspection I found a hose that's tied to gasoline vapor recovery (I think that's what it is...) in the passenger wheel well had the cap come loose. After replacing it I had another instance, again, cruising home on the freeway, showing P0171 and P0174, both which would indicate a lean condition.
After resetting I had a few weeks with no further faults.
Yesterday I drove the car from Denver up into the nearby mountains to see some friends and on returning had a long downhill run on I70 - so basically foot of the gas and going down the mountain at 70ish for a few miles when I had another instance of P0171 and P0174. Has anyone else had issues with this code and conditions before?
Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks!
my fault is still blown away after the Straightener install. Did you install yours yet?

@Stuart@VelocityAP Let me know if you get the 3D printed air straighteners for the GT4 Airbox Delete kit. I have the kit and occasional P0171 P0174 faults.

@Tuning@VelocityAP is working on it, we may for future kits just 3D print the entire bracket assembly with something integrated.

I'm sad ...
no more interest of Airbox delete kit, by restricting the volume of air about 15% because of the honeycomb!
