Lumpy running
Lumpy running
Hi everyone this is my 1st post. I have a V8 Vantage and love it. I have noticed that going slow 30mph or less in traffic the car sometimes runs lumpy like it going to cut out. If I put my foot down slightly it’s fine. Does anyone else have the same issue?
I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the engine or the car just doesn’t like slow speeds?

Hey Dan,
I suspect "runs lumpy" refers to your engine and not your drivetrain.
Any competent tech can check your battery, plugs, coils, injectors, compression, leakdown, fuel pressure, MAF, O2 sensors and OBDII.
Better to know what's wrong and fix it economically.
But since you ask, last time my engine had an intermittent miss, it was a coil. But I had a check engine light and an OBDII error code pointing to my #1 cylinder.

Check codes and put an OBDII reader on it to get misfire data. This could be misfires, but doesn't mean that it is. An OBD-II reader will tell you a lot about your car for a hundred or so dollars and is a great tool to have at home.
I also recommend an OBD reader, but you don't need to spend $100. Get an ELM327 on Amazon (it's a bluetooth reader that costs about $13) and download the app "MotorData OBD" onto your phone. It will give you fault data, allow you to clear codes, and give you live data while the car is running which you can record, save, and export.
