2015 V12 Vantage ECU

Can anyone help with the location of the ECU's on my Vantage. Need to remove for a tune, there are two of them.

Behind the holes in the fenders, pull the front wheels and liners. Of course you may want to disconnect the Negative cable first.

Yes, unless someone was nice enough to relocate them to 1 side. Are you having Velocity AP perform the procedure? Keep us updated on the results.

Looks like they call it the Electronic Engine Control, one on each side.

Don't tuners just overwrite the firmware via the OBD port? Haven't heard of taking out an ECU since the days of 'chipping' engines years ago

That works if the tuner has figured out how to encrypt and sign the new firmware properly and keep the rest of the cross checks happy such that the ECU can't tell that it is not an OEM program.

I'd guess they have not been able to work this out and are also making other modifications to the ECU that allow the non OEM firmware to run without it being properly signed.

I'd be looking for a tuner that knows more about the car

Your help would be appreciated...My experience with Ferrari 458 and 488 (all years) require removal of ECU and sent to tuner. The same is with Aston Martin 2011 and later.... My 2018 Ford Raptor did not. Life would be easier to program thru hand held without sending your valued ECU via UPS to a tuner.
If you know a tuner that knows my V12V please let us know..

Thanks

Yes they do, that is who I would recommend. Being a Bosch it is also a Bench Flash.

Did you get your ECU's found?

I am sending the ECU's to AMR Performance and they don't have a clue where they are located. I see the one on the Passengers' side but not the Drivers side - did you really have to pull the wheel, wheel liner, and go in from that way?
