I have the same set up as @smdzucladoc. The only difference is I asked Stuart to remap the mixture to tone down the crackle and pop. The x-box mid section really helps it out. There's no need to change the box unless losing some weight is really important.

For sure having a valved exhaust is nice, either stock box or aftermarket. I got both the normal pops tune and a toned downed tune from Stuart.

Currently have the pops tune, only gets crazy with the car moving and letting go of the throttle above 6k.
