Getting my DBS front end protective filmed. Looking on how to remove the Aston Martin hood emblem? Also looking for an Aston Martin carpet set ?

 

The hood emblem is two way tape holding it, as far as carpet set you can try Andrew @exoticare in Canada, you can search on the forum for his work.

 

If the place doing the PPF doesn't know how to remove the Wings, I would question their job skills.

 

He said double sided tape, just doing my due-diligence and for my knowledge, at 67 years old , you can still teach an old dog a new trick. Fishing line and some WD-40 , or adhesive remover should do the job?

 

Be careful. While trying to remove an emblem from my Maserati last year the back and forth motion of the line
scratched the adjoining paint. Try a doubled up piece of dental floss first after warming the emblem with a
hair dryer.

As noted in prior post, heat first and continue heating during the removal process.

 

I'm not sure why you would remove the badge. My PPF has a cut out for the badge.

 

Agreed, Mine was done without removal...you cant find the cut line around the emblem. I don't like the idea of having a layer of PPF between the badge and the car. Remember, some day I believe the PPF will be removed. Personal preference I guess. Make sure the person applying the PPE is a Pro with a solid reputation !

 

I am changing the emblem also all to all black.

 

Just had pdf ppf on my new Vantage. Emblem was left in place..

 

heat gun and some fishing line does the trick, get some automotive goo gone to clean up the mess it leaves afterwards
