I have a 2011 V8V and I am seeing a dizzying number of CTEK models in Amazon for trickle chargers. Could you please point me to the right one? Do I need to buy an adapter as well to go with it to fit the receptor in the trunk?

All you need is the C-Tek with the cigarette lighter attachment to plug into the outlet behind the right-side panel in the trunk.

I've been using a basic Deltran battery tender on mine without issue for years. Cheap, effective, and reliable. Also, I use points under the hood to charge (not the lighter socket in the trunk) to avoid deforming the weather stripping when the hatch is closed.

 

I don't think $165 is a great price.

@Kalepsis @Mike Gray Guys, thanks for doing comparison shopping for me. Yes, the ebay price changed once I picked the product and ended up buying via Amazon. It's all good.

I have 4 black and Decker trickle chargers for the fleet. 15 bucks from Jeff Bezos. I attached the adapter to the battery post under the hood. They work great.

 

My ctek has kept the battery in my V8 Vantage in great condition, the car is now over 10 years old and still on the original battery. I know this because I've had the car from new. Very impressed

 

CTEK's last for a decade or longer. If you spend $30 too much for it; it's hardly nothing to cry over. Their extension cord is good to have as well.

 

Any of the good battery tenders will work; just make sure you have the cigarette 12V plug. If you have or will get an AGM battery make sure the tender will work with it. I've been using the Noco Genius tenders.
