Urus may look a little cooler if you want over the top. Urus interior is no way as nice. DBX feels like you want to drive for endless hours no problem.
Yes! That is exactly my point! I’ve driven cars that are double the price and I don’t think people understand how much value you’re truly getting for a car that’s below $200k starting. The color “white stone” which is a quad layer paint is a $9k option. On a Ferrari or Lambo a triple layer paint $32-$40k. Most features that are options on other Marques are standard on Aston. If you can get over the ‘dated’ infotainment it’s truly a remarkable work handmade art at a relatively affordable price.

Here in Minneapolis Aston forced the dealer to order a bunch, most of which seems to be still sitting at the dealer - since the dealer can only floor plan the cars 90 days they will show up as sold units - they are not sold. I've not seen any on the road.

I love the DBX but I need a dependable off road vehicle, not gonna take a 200k SUV off roading I'm definitely nowhere near that well off!

I was considering the Cayenne Turbo S eHybrid. Price was at $215k. For $215k you have a plethora of options. Go drive the DBX and you'll understand why I chose the DBX over the Cayenne. There's simply no comparison. Maybe the Cayenne is marginally faster but it pales in comparison with regards to paint / finish / fit / exclusivity factor / craftsmanship. The Cayenne is mass produced and are ubiquitous. The DBX feels and is a hand made work of art. I don't want to sound like a fanboy and I have owned and have other marque's as well but unless you're looking at an $80k base Cayenne the DBX at its starting price point is an incredible machine.

...great... now you're going to make me go test drive one. That's really the last thing I need right now with a completely full garage and two cars on order for next year (992 GT3T and Lotus Emira)

Local dealer in Summit NJ has at least 10 DBX on the lot for sale …. These things just aren’t selling. What’s the average discount to MSRP to move them? Can’t get G wagon, can’t get Urus, yet no one wants these …. It confuses me.

Aston dealers need more people test driving the DBX. It's a big step moving from a Mercedes or BMW to an Aston Martin. If you're car nut, it's a welcome achievement, but for other an Aston Martins is hard to conceive. Never mind going to the dealership and test driving. Not so much a price conversation. Drive the German stuff and then a DBX... Unless you want a tank like a G wagon or full size Range Rover. DBX is great. I question some of the color combo our dealer gets; so much blah. Many I would pass on. They're better than the previous franchise owners at least at ordering.

Will do. I am sure that you are correct but why wouldn’t they post them all?

they almost always underpost their new inventory. I once inquired about when they would have a DB11 convertible to look at and they said they had 4, vs 0 on website.

I also think this has to do with the fact that most people who are shopping for Mercedes and BMW are generally uninformed about 'exotics'. People that are looking at $150k RR or $150 - $175k Porsche Cayenne Turbos likely don't know a DBX can be nicely equipped for $180k and will likely lease better too.

I see a couple of the DBX's in the neighborhood. They are popular with the younger Wife2.0s - competing with the Cayennes nicely. I was at the dealer in Tysons yesterday getting my Roof Control Module flashed, they had 4-5 of them out front.

They also had a picture of their new facility out in Ashburn (https://www.astonmartinwashingtondc.com/category/news/). Looks like they are moving out of Tysons. Perhaps that will increase sales as their current location doesn't have much street presence. Usually there is a bus parked at the bus stop out in front!
