2016 gts

I know that there were only 100 V8Vantage GTS made. How many of each sport and lux were made? How many lux with a manual 6spd were made? I’m considering buying a GTS with a manual.
Thanks.

Not sure what the numbers are, BUT I think it would be a wise move to snap up a manual Vantage, on your radar, ASAP.

Prices seem to be rising.....

I've done a lot of research on the GTS' and haven't seen a breakdown of Lux vs Sport. You won't go wrong with the GTS manual!

The people at Aston Martin of Orlando told me that there were 50 sport and 50 lux. They had no other information on the number of manual and Sportshift. They said if it was typical it would be 70% Sportshift.

According to Tim Cottingham from the Aston Martin Heritage Trust. There were only 61 GTS Coupes built and the other 39 were Roadsters.
There were 16 Lux coupes and 45 Sport model coupes. There were only 8 Lux coupes with a manual 6spd. and only one in Tungsten Silver and there isn’t one with the SS2 transmission. I knew our Tungsten Silver GTS manual coupe was rare, but had no idea that it was one of one.

That's amazing info Gene. Thanks for sharing. I always assumed the coupe/roadster split was 50/50. Did they Tim give you any further breakdown on the roadsters (SS vs manual, Lux vs Sport, etc)?

No he didn’t. When I told him mine was a Tungsten Silver GTS coupe he knew the vin number of it as it was the only Tungsten Silver GTS Lux.
You could ask him at tim@amht.org.uk

I just got the one of one certificate. In the text it shows there were 39 GTS Roadsters split between 16 Sports and 23 Lux editions.
It didn’t brake it down as to how many manual or Sportshift for the roadsters.

Gene, I need to thank you.

Your post inspired me to contact Tim from AMHT regarding my '09 V8 Vantage. It turns out that Aston Martin only made twelve Vantages in Speed Yellow, and mine is the only one with the 4.7L engine (all the others are 4.3's). So I'll also be getting a "One of One" certificate. I am very happy this day.

I'd dare say most of the 12 were one of one if you consider a different caliper color or stitching color would change the spec. You have red stitching, that alone probably makes it one of one of all the yellows

Or does the spec have to be significantly different?

I actually have no idea how detailed the requirements are for that. But I feel like the major considerations are model, engine, transmission, exterior color, interior color.

I just heard back from Tim. My car is 1 of 2 Yellow Tang V8 Vantage convertibles ever built. It is the only GTS roadster in that color. Pretty cool, IMHO.

The other car is a somewhere in South Korea. He didn't say what model year that one was.
