update: FYI, i think a motocraft # 1269 will work...Amazon.com: Motorcraft DY1269 Temperature Sensor Assembly: Automotive

It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to car repairs, especially on high-end vehicles like an Aston Martin. DIY car repairs can be tricky, especially when locating hidden parts.

Just to close this thread out... The stock AM coolant sensor is a Ford/Motorcraft part with the # above. You can buy it at the auto parts store for $30 bucks, or the same part, bagged in a AM bag with a AM part # on the bag for $300 or so. Your choice but it is the same part.
