Crazed display??

I'm looking at a DB9 and there is something weird going on with the two displays in the instrument cluster. Anybody know what the problem is and what is involved in fixing it. I saw a thread where something similar happened to a radio display. the consensus was that the display lens was crazed and that the lens is easily replaced. Same thing here or $omething el$e?

Steve

What's with the two displays??

I have something slightly similar. You have to look at an angle to see it. If it gets worse I am going to remove the display and see if that part can be replaced.

I read the pistonheads article, but it offers no new information, specifically if that part of the display can be changed.

You're right, it says nothing about replacement.

But it does provide an example of a repair by poster "geromat", about half way down the page. And further down the page poster "develow" takes a different approach to repair. Both look like they were pretty successful.
