Svx is infamous around these parts
Driver’s side mirror cap warped!
So… I found that my Driver side mirror cap is warped! I don’t think it was Vandalism.. because there’s no damage anywhere else. Are the side mirrors heated? Maybe there was an electrical issue and it caused heat issue to warp the plastic?? Thoughts??

Mirrors are not heated, looks like external heat source. An excuse to upgrade to carbon mirror covers?

FWIW, my 2006 DB9 has the same mirrors as a 2001 Jag S-type.

It looks like the Volvo s60 caps from 2005 or so. Easy to source cheap ana just needs paint

If the mirrors are heated, the element is in the glass, nowhere near the cover. Is the plastic itself distorted or has the paint sagged? I blame Global Warming!!! He he.

It’s definitely a heat source…wtf eh..at least it’s a simple fix..
