Cold Start - Ford Method?

I have a 2007 DB9 Volante. How long would a car have to sit before you invoke the Fold Cold start procedure (Foot to the floor, key in ignition, and crank at 10 sec intervals until the oil pressure light extinguishes)? The manual doesn't say, other than "extended storage exceeding six months...." Is it really that long? Any issue with a month?

The weather is supposed to be nice, and would be a nice day to get out of the basement and go someplace - anyplace.....

Anything longer than a month, use the dry crank procedure. Better safe than sorry.

I just do it every time. It doesn't hurt the car, ever.

I use a 2 week rule. Also, I don't attempt to do it in one constant cranking of the engine. It might take a couple of short periods so not to over work/heat the starter. My best method......drive the car often!

I heard it doesn't work on a V12 Bosch car. Anyone willing to attempt to confirm?

If the "easy way" doesn't work you can always pull the fuse for the fuel pump and spin until the pressure light goes out.

That is my understanding as well -- doesn't work with Bosch.
