Most of the Aston Martin owners are pensioners and have more time for forum chatting.

Maserati is tough. The historic cars (Biturbo and older) are absurdly rare at this point. Italian cancer killed most of them. The newer models don't muster as much fervor among owners as does owning an Aston Martin.

-There are genuinely nice people here who would, I think, be easy to be actual friends with in "real life."
-Astons have an unusual balance between being mysterious and magical devices and reasonably simple machines. In most cases, owners can fix/modify their own cars once a mystery has been revealed.
-Astons are not only incredibly appealing, but ownership is accessible to many people.
-I think that owning a Maserati today is just a momentary destination for most people...something to enjoy for a while, then leave for something else (less troublesome/faster/more prestigious?). Owning an Aston Martin is more of a journey. They become members of the family. Like beloved dog, we share different stages of life with them, but we often enjoy them, love them, and care for them for years.
-As BrightonCorgi notes, quite a few of us have reached the point where we have a bit more time on our hands...
