V8 Vantage Wind Noise

I have been hearing wind noise from the driver's side since I got the car 4years ago and noticed that the glass sitting slightly lower so the little gap created wind noise.
Today, I decided to have a look inside to try to adjust the glass.
First of all, I could take off the door panel but couldn't detach the door handle cable from the panel. I really needed to detach it in order to see inside. Please let me know how to do that.
Second, let's say I somehow manage to detach the door panel, has anybody adjusted the glass height? The glass was not fully fixed and I could manually move up and down a bit and the hinge towards the back of the car was loosened.

Please advise me if you had the same problem and got fixed. Thank you!

Yes, by holding the window buttons and taking out the fuse.

Taking out the cable is a twist and pull technique, the trick is to do it carefully there are grub screws that fasten against a cheek plate loosening these will allow glass movement before you attempt to adjust put some masking tape on the current position use a pencil and scribe where the glass is within the holder ( in case you need to go back to that point, gues who has played this game&#128521 do it for front and rear, I raised my glass by 3mm and on installation did the window learn procedure
in my case the wind noise only arrived above around 100mph below that it was not noticeable it’s a bit of fiddle but worth it

Thank you for your advice! I will try a twist and pull technique tonight. Also will try window adjusting as you explained. (I guess you might know someone who played this game very well)
BTW, how many screws holding the glass? One each front side/backside? Are they reachable with removing the panel?

i would try to fix a potential software problem before attempting anything else.
those windows are designed, on purpose and is a necessity for them to automatically open about an 1/8" when the door is opened, assuming it was all the way up when the door was opened.

I have taken out the door handle trim and the panel but couldn't really see where the grub screws are although I can touch them.
When you did that, did you lower down the glass to reach? If so, how much did you lower down?
Also I found the driver side door glass is not fastened so I could move it up and down by hand although passenger side door glass is firm.
I think the main problem is the grub screws don't hold the glass tight enough.
