Need help with Rapide S error code

Good day, gentlemen.

Need some help, my 2014 Rapide S just got the code P0136, it’s one of the oxygen sensors.

do you know what part # I can use instead of calling Aston Martin to get the part, also a location of the exact sensor would immensely help as I haven’t found any diagrams for the Rapide S.

Thank you in advance

You have multiple choices, the code and scanner doesn't specify which side of the engine has the fault. There's 4 sensors that you need to look at their readings. Post catalyst. You could monitor voltages but it maybe intermittent, 1 check is what does your data say in mode 2? Or FF data? If you can figure out which side it may be best to replace both or possibly all 4 as your possibly going to have other O2 sensors fail due to age.

I think replacing all 4 would probably be a good decision?
Would you happen to know which ford part this is?
So I can order 4 of those

Being a S model it may not be a Ford part as engine management changes on the later models. Easy check in transmission 6-speed vs the latest 8-speed.

the sensors (four of them, and all the same except for the lengths of their wires, two w/short wires, two with long wires) are found on the underside of the car but might out of sight above the splash panels. they look like a spark plug with a wire attached. they're screwed into the catalytic converters, two per converter. the converters are in-line between the exhaust manifolds and the mufflers. there is most likely a youtube video showing where and how to replace them on some sort of late model aston.

the parts are readily available at $20-100 each from non-aston sources if one is inclined to save money. doing so, would involve little to no risk, IMO. ...my aston has informed me, erroneously, of O2 sensor problems on many an occasion. the warnings have always gone away and gone away for a long time after a few restarts. it's been behaving itself for the past two years.

thank you for the location guidance 😊,
would you happen to know the part numbers for the long ones and the short ?

no, i'm afraid not.
but i'd start at national auto parts outlet's websites and would just make sure that the wire connector at the one end and the threaded (pretty standard threads) at the other match. they (the sensors) are probably more standard than spark plugs.

I wouldn't be so fast to replace the part. Reset the code and see how quick (if at all) it comes back first before looking to buy parts. I see that one a couple of times a year.

I believe that code is indicating a US driver's side rear O2 sensor fault. The post that DonL references should be of help to you in finding the right Ford part. The rear O2 sensors monitor catalytic convertor efficiency and are not an uncommon "maintenance" item for these cars. I've done both of mine in the last few months.

Update guys

It seemed to be either a low battery or just a electric gremlin.
I reset the codes 3 times and put the car on trickle charge no more codes from past 2 days.

Thank you
