i have a 2007 vantage like yours. no nav. but although there are phone type buttons on the console i was under the impression that they were not functional unless some sort of optional package was ordered. i may very well be wrong though.
anyway... i know of no factory aston option available for bluetooth streaming, but i've installed the MR12VOLT unit in my car (premium stereo, but i doubt if that matters) for streaming and it works well. i've heard that the site does not advertise its use for astons anymore. no matter, the volvo unit was the one that they sent when clients specified astons anyway. it is still offered. so i suspect that it will still work as well as mine.
New (to me) V8V owner and looking for something along these lines as well. My preference is a plug-and-play solution that is easily and fully reversible.
Right now I am using a Bluetooth FM transmitter that plugs into the 12v power outlet. Very inexpensive and fully reversible. I have it plugged in under the armrest so it is not visible. My phone connects to the Bluetooth and the radio is tuned to a 'blank' FM radio station in my area. May not be the ideal solution if you are in metropolitan areas where the FM dial is full.
The only drawback I have right now is that the 12v power in the console outlet is constant, so I have to be sure to unplug it to avoid draining the battery. Eventually I would like to get it onto switched 12v power that only comes on with the ignition.
there should still be a youtube video or two on aston installation. it works. a couple of times there has been some quirky behavior, mostly after stopping and starting the engine, like at a gas station, but otherwise it works fine. it works by spoofing the stereo into thinking that it (the bluetooth connection) is actually track one of the CD player. or at least that's my understanding.
i have the premium sound system w/bose surround sound turned on. excellent quality IMO.
there is nothing in a 2006 or 2007 vantage head to plug anything in to. in fact, there are no external ports in the older vantages at all AFAIK. at least there is nothing on my 2007 vantage with the bose premium sound system. not so much as a USB port or phone jack.
FYI, this is how i understand the mr12volt kit to work...
the volvo mr12volt kit consists, primarily, of a bluetooth black box with two fiber optic wires coming out of it. to install it, the existing fiber optic wire (yes, the head unit in an older vantage is connected to the CD player using a fiber optic wire or cable) coming out of the head unit to the CD player (CD players are standard in the older vantages) is disconnected. then, one of the fiber optic wires coming out of the bluetooth black box is connected to the head unit and one is connected to the CD player. what you have then is a fiber optic wire running from the head unit to the bluetooth black box and then from the bluetooth black box to the CD player. in other words the bluetooth black box sits BETWEEN the head unit and the CD player with a fiber optic wire connecting them together.
when the stereo is turned off the bluetooth black box does nothing. when the radio is turned on, again, the bluetooth black box does nothing, when the CD player is activated it will pass along any signal coming from the CD player via the fiber optic wire to the head unit without altering it at all. it will serve as a simple passthru. that means the CD player will work normally once the bluetooth black box is installed but...
because the bluetooth black box is a bluetooth device(!) it can be paired to your smartphone, and if the car's CD player is selected, and if the bluetooth black box it is paired to your phone, and your phone is playing music, or any audio for that matter, your phone will send that audio signal to the bluetooth black box and it will in turn send it to your car's head unit and it will send it to the amplifier and the amplifier will send it to your car's speakers. and if you're wondering what happens to any CD music that's playing at the time of the pairing, well...from that point foreward, until unpaired, your car's CD player's signal will be thrown away by the bluetooth black box.
the concept of an unknown entity (the bluetooth black box) intercepting a signal (conversation) between two parties (the head unit and the CD player) that are communicating is called "spoofing". the bluetooth black box is "spoofing" the head unit and the CD player in car stereo.
that's pretty much how it works. the primary take away is that fiber optic connectivity is a necessity to communicate with an old (2006-2007?) vantage's stereo system. that, or an FM modulator. and aftermarket devices capable of communication via a fiber optic connection are very few and far between. therein lies the rub.

I took a leap of faith and ordered the Mr12Volt Volvo unit to see if it will work despite them saying it would not without explaining why.
I feel like if it works for old Volvo it will probably work for the Vantage.
I've been driving my car a lot and I'm so tired of the radio.
This will be pooh-poohed by many, "the audio quality is rubbish" etc, but (as someone who has something of an ear for decent sound, and when considering the listening environment within a V8V with fuse 22 removed ) - I use an FM modulator with an old iPod (remember them), and it's more than acceptable (and sure beats the heck out of the crappy FM radio reception). Something to consider as a last resort should your Bluetooth solution not work.
I also use a Bluetooth FM transmitter and it works well for what I need. My bigger issue is where do I put the stinking phone? I bought a phone holder that goes into the CD slot, but didn't consider that my V8V is a manual transmission and the stick is right in the way. Either the phone stays in my pocket or the cup holder on the armrest. Neither of these options are ideal.

My 06 has the early style seats and there is a smuggle pocket on the front of the horizontal pad on both seats. Phone and wallet goes in those!
I got the P600 LP1606VOZ from Mr12volt and installed it today.
My car is No Nav so I had all kind of space and unused harness to tap in to.
First dip switch up rest down. I thought my unit was bad for a bit because even when tapping in to a constant 12v the red LED would light up for a split second and go out. The unit was still available to pair under "car kit" and once paired and in CD mode both red and blue LEDs came on and it all seems to be working.
For No Nav cars I tapped in to the orange/yellow and Black/Red for the unused screen harness for my power and double-sided taped and fabric taped it in to the cavity to reduce noise. I didn't take as many photos as I wanted because I the red LED not turning on threw me off.
