06 Vantage No Nav Bluetooth Addition?
So I've been using this system for a bit now and while finally having Bluetooth is great the sound quality I am experiencing is quite poor.
It seems like when I am using the Mr12Volt adapter via the CD changer, the audio compression is huge and it leads to massive distortion at even minimal volumes. Everything sounds tinny and even listening to normal speaking voice of audio books on minimal volumes there is a high pitched distortion bordering on a crackle.
I am not sure what would be causing this or how to fix it other than maybe trying another fiber optic cable Y-adapter in case the one I got is bad.
FWIW i don't experience this on the AM/FM RADIO.

I just took out an out dated bluetooth Most-Aux from Nav-Tv and installed a Mr12volt. I can't be happier with the Mr12volt. The sound is so bright and clear. I think I paid around $215.

I have a 2007 V8V. With navigation. With Bluetooth for phone. I ran across this part on some forums and had a dealer install it.
Bluetooth upgrade 7G43-37-11091. Adds music streaming. Requires flash by AM dealer.
it took a couple of tries for the dealer to get the right parts from the UK. And a few days to get it working. It was a little pricey, but it’s a factory upgrade and now I have hands free streaming for music and map directions.
