I just picked up a 15' Vantage with the technology package, and a bit confused about the bluetooth. It has bluetooth phone calling, but the manual lists that it's capable of bluetooh audio. It instructs to pair the phone, then select the "mode" button and scroll to "BT" as an option, but that option doesn't exist. Does this mean I don't have bluetooth audio? Thanks!

the 2015 vantage owner's manual shows it as optional on all the stereos.

not to insult your intelligence, honest(!), but bluetooth needs to be switched "on" on your smartphone of course. i only mention it because the aston user's manual does. ...really...

I don’t think the MY 2015 has BT audio streaming. You need the Bovee attachment to the iPod adaptor and then it works quite well. I think beginning in MY 2016 it came equipped with BT audio.

 

Funny, I had ordered one of those before posting just to cover all bases. It showed up yesterday, and works beautifully. All for less than $100. Thanks so much!

 

My bovee works great. I can connect my phone for calls or streaming, plus an Alexa device. It all works seamlessly, although sometimes it doesn't connect after a gas station restart . Then I just turn off stereo and restart and works fine

 

i've got the mr12volt bluetooth device in my 2007 vantage. it also fails to restart after i turn off the engine at a gas station or something similar. i'm wondering if i set it up as instructed with an essentially uninterrupted power supply, i.e. non-switched.

if i can find my work ethic (i've misplaced it somewhere since retirement) i might test the unit's power source and see if it is indeed unswitched.

 

I know a Bovee is cheaper but I presume the later BT module can be fitted to the Vantage?

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my '11 Virage has been upgraded at some point after I spotted a the instructions for it tucked in to the rear of my owner's manual. When I discovered that I shot out to the car and found the extra source option in the entertainment system menu so tried streaming Spotify off my phone.

 

Yes. You can add a Bluetooth module to the earlier cars models.

I added one to my 2012 Vantage S a few years back.

To answer the OPs question when I press the mode button, I see BT as one of the options after installing the module.

I picked mine up from the junkyard off a totaled 2015 Vantage and had my Indy install and program with his AMDS

 

Just a follow-up. I've bought the Bovee device and it works just fine. I've seen an option that the dealer can do an entire nav system overhaul and add carplay and whatnot. Does anyone have experience with this?

 

I tried BT audio on my 2015 for the first time, all these years never bothered to try it till today. Usually just leave it on Sirius. Click on mode button, go to BT and it automatically plays audio from the iPhone.
