Vantage Bluetooth Upgrade Instructions
Vantage Bluetooth Upgrade Instructions
Thanks to those who have posted in relation to the above upgrade, which I have recently had fitted to my 2007 V8 Vantage with great results.
The music streaming and phone are really good, but I understand that there are other features - I just don't know how to operate the upgraded system as no manual etc was given to me by the AM dealer despite my asking.
Can anyone offer advice on where I can get some sort of operating manual for the Bluetooth upgrade so I can use the full extent of its features?
Many thanks

•Fast scroll –the tone rotary controller can be used to quickly scroll though phonebook contacts by first letter or through tracks during audio streaming
•Two call handling, giving the opportunity to switch to a new incoming call during an existing one
•Full call list synchronisation, making the most recent missed calls, received calls and recently dialed numbers available on the display screen
•Phonebook synchronisation, ensuring a complete update of stored contacts each time the phone connects via Bluetooth
•Updated phonebook symbols to distinguish between home, work and mobile numbers saved against a contact
•Microphone gain – sensitivity is now adjustable to allow for different phones and driving scenarios

•Ringtone – volume level is now adjustable

Fast Scroll
For those customers who have a large number of contact names stored in their phone, the Fast Scroll feature will help them find those contacts later in the alphabet faster.
Quickly turning the ‘Tone - ♪’ dial engages the Fast Scroll feature by allowing the user to skip to the beginning letter of the name of the contact rather than each individual contact. This function is also available when using audio streaming to move quickly through the track list.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming
In line with the latest 15MY vehicles, the upgrade now offers Bluetooth audio streaming. Using the latest A2DP protocol, the software allows music to be streamed from supporting Bluetooth devices. There is a new “BT” option when source is selected which switches to the Bluetooth device. Track and artist data are also shown on the display screen."

Vantage Bluetooth Upgrade Instruction Manual???
Thank you very much Henry.
My question really is : where are the instructions for using the upgraded system? I get the increased functionality that is potentially available, but just how do I, for instance, adjust microphone gain? Or toggle whether my mobile contacts upload or not?
There must be instructions somewhere???
Cheers

I will try it. I think the phone icon is on the Menu button. There are two buttons with with phone picking up and one with hanging up. Pressing them from my general recollection hasn't done anything before.

Thanks KSA, but the point is that my 2007 Vantage didn't have music streaming, so the manual has nothing. I don't think it was available until 2015.
I have found menu items covering Bluetooth, so I should be able to set the system up using that.
As far as your car goes, press and hold the phone button on your steering wheel with voice activation and you will be prompted to pair your phone, etc. If you get nothing then try someone else's phone. If that doesn't work then your module may be kaput. It's easy to replace - under the dash and easily accessible - a 5-10 minute job.
There is a bluetooth indicator in front of the gearstick/where the gearstick would be if you have a sportshift.
Cheers

The only phone buttons I have are in the cluster beside the radio, volume etc. So that means the car doesn't have a phone bluetooth feature, I assume?
Did your car come with factory bluetooth feature? Is that how you got bluetooth music streaming? I wouldn't mind that either.
Oh OK I didn’t realise that KSA.
Yes mine had the Bluetooth phone kit fitted, so I upgraded what was already there.
You have a car phone but without Bluetooth.
I’m not sure what’s involved in a retrofit in your case, but maybe not too much.
No harm in asking a dealer in any case. Expensive no doubt, but I’m happy with mine every time I use it and it takes your car to 2015 spec.
