Aston Martin V8 Vantage - Dangers of disconnecting battery

My battery is due for replacement (just bought the car and its been in there for 7 years I think). Are there any issues I need to be aware of when replacing the battery myself in my 2009 Aston Martin Vantage V8 Sportshift in terms of computers loosing their settings. I'm thinking specifically of idling or automated clutch position settings - or anything really that would cause driving issues that would not re-learn, including anything that gets reset that you have to take to a dealer to get put right? (Hoping the answer is - batteries die/replaced all the time and there are no real issues caused by it)

Thanks, much appreciated!

I keep the Ctek plugged in on mine when I replaced the battery and no settings were lost. It is a manual though.

I had the battery in my 2007 V8 Vantage replaced about a month ago. Zero issues after replacement - though the mechanic did note that I might need to reprogram radio station settings.

The only thing that’s worth noting is the ecu relearn procedure

Mine is a MY2013 V8 Vantage. Due to my job, I have to be out of home every four weeks, so I have recently installed the most simply and cheap battery disconnector in the market. I bought it through Amazon:

At first, I was scared about any issues by disconnecting the car, but nothing wrong!! The only thing I have to reset is the windows automatic final elevation by holding the buttons by 5-10 seconds and it works again! Even the clock connects it and adjusts the time by itself according with the GPS signal in just few seconds... As far as I know, with the Sportshift II the clutch learning is not necessary, although I am doing every time, just in case.

When I disconnect the battery, I do it with both doors opened. Then, I close both of them with the emergency key. To restart the car, just the opposite steps.

Regards,
