HID Headlight leveling
HID Headlight leveling
Hi All
2009 Vantage with HID lights...Noticed that when I turn on my headlights, they don't move up and down (auto leveling test) Thjis just recently happened. Everything else is fine, no condensation, etc. It's both headlights... Does anyone know if there is a separate fuse to check for this function?

UPDATE- Pulled fuse 53 ( it was OK) and reinstalled it. Now the module works again. British Glitch!

There are panels inside the front fender liners, right behind the headlights. When you remove them you will see adjustment screws for vertical and horizontal aiming.
the older 2006 models also do that recognition ???? I swear I turn on the lights and I don't notice movement ????

Mine is an '06 and has self-leveling HIDs, yes.
I read somewhere there are level sensors on the front and rear control arms that send a signal to the leveling module to keep the headlights from point up when the vehicle is loaded. If those fault they point downwards to prevent dazzle.
I have not looked had time to investigate this but this it what it seems like mine are doing, they do the self-test but aim downwards to where it feels like I can only see 30ft in front of the car.
