Disappointing experience with Astonparts247
Just wanted to share my recent experience trying to buy parts from Astonparts247.
Placed and paid for an order. A week goes by and I don't hear anything from them. Sent an email asking for an update. Email goes ignored. Waited a couple more days and called. Peter Morton answers the phone and gives me some excuses. Says it will be shipped this week (two weeks in). But nothing happens. Keep calling to check every couple of days. Just excuses. Eventually had the bank cancel the payment after 3 weeks as there was no sign I would ever get my parts.
Total lack of customer management experience. Understaffed and poor logistics. Avoid.

It's unfortunately the norm these days for companies such as this to list products they don't have in stock, and may or may not ever be able to get. At least some of them prompt you to contact them to confirm availability.
I had a similar issue with Velocity. Ordered some parts for my '19 Vantage and their site said "Order Complete". Days went by and no tracking number, so I finally emailed them. I was told they had to order the parts from the UK and would ship them once received. I canceled the order, ordered from Astonbits.com and had the items within 2 days in Chicago. I don't understand why these places don't either say "special order" or "out of stock" if it isn't a stocked part. I find it rather frustrating!
It's a shame e-commerce is like this, I always check with the vendor first to confirm stock before placing an order online. I've had success with Scuderia Car Parts in the UK, in the past. Used them a couple of times, even from across the pond shipping was fast with the DHL express service they use. Need to be ordering something expensive or a few bits to offset import duties and freight, however retail price is typically a lot lower than domestic dealerships parts pricing anyway. Good parts diagrams on their site as well!
