The beginning of the end……..
Love how so called environmentalists are so selective in their causes. Shows they could really give a damn..

I was talking to a millennial guy at work who just got a T**** Model 3... say he's so proud that he's not buying all that fuel and that he doesn't even know or follow the price of gas, and that it doesn't matter anymore...what a fool.

Glad to see there are not too many EV sheep on the Aston Martin site, lol. I'd like to add a few points from an Antipodeans view :
In Australia, a Tesla is AUD 40k more than an equivalent size ICE car and that gap gets greater if you talk 2nd hand. As with the other comments, driving long distances is currently a nightmare for charging and ironically the EVs range is worse on a long trip. As an aside, the BYD (Chinese) is already receiving criticism for false advertising on range and good luck getting 400kms out of your 4/5/6 year old battery, how well does your phone hold charge after 2 to 3 years. Of course while we're talking batteries make sure while you're bragging about your mileage/dollar that you include the 20k battery that you will need in 8 to 10 years (who really knows), oh sure you can sell it way before then and take a 20k hit on the price.
What really gets up my nose tho is the idiots who think they are saving the planet, now if an EV works for you then great, but please get your head out of your backside when lecturing us fossil fuel dinosaurs. You see, a little publicised fact is that rare earth mining (lithium in particular) is terrible for the environment, in Australia they get about a kg of lithium out of a ton of ore, by using things like sulphuric acid and destroying the ground, air and water table. Then the refined lithium gets loaded onto a fossil fuel burning ship and heads off to (mainly) China the biggest polluters in the world . There are studies that state an EV has a worse carbon footprint than an ICE car for the first 4 years of its life, so the EV greenies need to get over themselves. Also last time I checked your precious planet saver has all sorts of petroleum by products in/on it. Of course ask any EV advocate where the millions of dead batteries will go in a few years and they will cry "recyclable", well that's not complete BS as they are partially recyclable.
Don't get me wrong, having lived and worked in China I'll be the first one to say we need to put a curb on pollution I just don't believe EV cars are the answer
