Angry Timeless Warranty Renewal???

I purchased a V12 Vantage two years ago that came with the Timeless Warranty. I paid for an extra year, approximately $5K. Well, my warranty is about to expire and I requested a quote to extend it another year. I was shell shocked, the dealer quoted $6900 to extend 1 year and more than $10K for two. I can't believe the prices have gone up this much in two years. Has anyone else received a Warranty extension quote recently? Does this sound right or should I call the dealer I purchased from (in another state) to get a quote?

Put the money your save into savings. I have saved $25,000 by opting to not extend my warranty. Others on here will disagree and tell you to spend the money. Has to be your choice.

Thank's for the reply. I'm probably going to bank the money, but was asking if the quote seems normal. To me it seems like the dealer might be gouging.

Seems everything has gone up and dealers do add on extra money for ESC and the inspection. Used to be a few hundred now it's closer to $800. AM encouraging dealers to do that so they are off the hook.

Yeah, I was surprised at the cost for the extended warranty on the 2020 Vantage I just bought. The cost was much more reasonable a few years ago on my previous Vantage. Since these cars seem pretty solid, I thinking its just not worth spending the money.

The cost of the warranty depends on the age of the car. I think zero to five years is one bracket and then five to ten a different price. I was quoted $4800 (IIRC) for my four year old Vantage. This was the list price at the time. ( I saw a dealer sheet with all the pricing at one point a couple years ago...dealer markup was about $1200). I wouldn't be surprised if Aston has been raising their prices for warranty and service lately. They have certainly said they trying to raise the selling price of their cars ( and deliver a better product, (Stroll's Ferrari envy is palpable) and I expect the service and maintenance will go up alongside.

i banked my extended warranty fees for my repair kitty. The extended coverage isn't very comprehensive. Nothing like the original warranty..

I'd give a couple of other AML dealers call just for sanity sake. How's the car been so far? 10K pays for a decent amount of break-fix service over two years. You should have a good gut feeling on the reliability of your car by now.

Damn, that's some steep pricing for a warranty extension! I've heard of dealerships jacking up the prices, but that's just ridiculous. I don't blame you for wanting to shop around for a better deal. It's always worth a shot to call the dealership you originally purchased from and see if they can offer you a better price. Otherwise, you might want to consider looking for third-party warranty providers who might be able to give you a better deal. Just make sure to do your research and read the fine print before signing anything.

Keep your $$$. Find independent shop that fixes A.M.

$6900 for 99% chance for only oil change maintenance.

I agree, the price of the extended warranty seems excessive. However, the price to get stuff serviced at the dealer is equally eye watering. Probably gong to pay one way or the other if you use the dealer. (I wouldn't be surprised if you're looking at a $12K repair every three years..at the dealer. and that's not a big repair. ) We definitely need some indies in the US for Astons.

I do realize that this is just a piece of paper and doesn't seem very official, but this is the documentation I received about 1.5 years ago (pricing is consistent) - apologies for my chicken-scratch notes
As it turns out, the warrantee paid for itself in the first year ($9,450 for 2 years)
I probably will not renew-- KH

ESC coverage isn't a bad thing to have if you just bought the car. You are allowed to cancel and get a prorated refund/transfer the ESC now too, in the past you couldn't.
