Anyone used the 08+ Vantage factory bluetooth audio upgrade?
Hi, I am looking to upgrade my '13 V8V to be able to use bluetooth streaming audio. AM has p/n FD43-37-10142 available as a kit to accomplish this. Has anyone used this kit and if so what is included, and also what is the OEM part number on the sticker of the new module?
The kit is an upgraded module that replaces the current one, and requires updated a new car configuration file that an AM dealer needs to install to work correctly with your existing system. Not a plug and play item.
I've got a kit sitting on my shelf for my '07 DB9 that will be getting installed soon. I believe the module is the same. FD43-14F191-AC. They pop up on ebay from time to time.
So according to Aston FD43-37-10142 was superseded by FD43-37-10167.
J doubleU - do you know if there are any aftermarket programmers that do coding on these cars?
GA_DB9 - you hit the nail on the head, I want to try to find the module on eBay or through a recycler (Volvo apparently uses them) but need the OEM P/N for the version with streaming audio support. Aston has a different P/N for the pre-08 cars.
If you're in the SF area of San Francisco, Robbie has the ability to perform the required flash update.
I had the BT module updated by him years ago and have been super happy to not have to use the Tune2Air plugin any longer :-)
As far as I'm aware, there's one module in both pre and post '08 kits. It's just whether there's a new ICM, MOST harness, etc included. Someone that knows more than me can chime in. Here's the a pic of the module I have.
Check out British Automotive Repair in Scottsdale. They specialize in AM and might be able to help. We visited their shop before moving from AZ to GA a while back and they seemed pretty knowledgeable.
• The hardware part numbers for the Denison don't officially matter, as far as the software required to run them goes.
• The "*.vbs" file (the flash-programming process control file used by AMDS and the like, to "control" what order the software is programmed) is named "BPM_0AAC.vbs".
• The required global parameter changes to the CCF in the CEM-P1x (Central Electronics Module - Platform 1x) are "125 - ZZ - After Production Changes = 0x02: Dension BPM Fitted". Changing this global parameter will cause the rest of the cars electronic architecture and topology to "recognise and allow communication" with the Denison BPM (if this CCF change isn't made, then the car will spit out a load of errors). If the car was manufactured before 2007MY, then the CCF also requires global parameter "105 - SA - Bluetooth Hands Free = 0x02: With BPM Bluetooth (MOST)" to be present (if not present already).
The Denison branded modules Ive found are FD43-14F191-AB or FD43-14F191-AC which are likely to just be different revisions of the same thing.

Have you had a chance to complete the installation?
Adding the BT streaming would be an amazing addition!
