New Aston Martin Vantage 2-Piece Brake Rotor options from VelocityAP & Girodisc

New Brake Options!!!!
10 years ago I worked with Wilwood to come out with some 2-piece options for the V8 Vantages with the 355/330mm rotor combo. Unfortunately these have become pretty expensive, so we started to look at some other options. Many of you will already be familiar with Girodisc, as a made in the USA manufacturer of high quality 2-piece rotors. The gold standard amongst a lot of enthusiast and track day communities. VelocityAP has teamed up with Girodisc to offer a new line of 2-piece rotors for the 380, 355 & 330mm front & rear rotors for the V8 Vantage, and some of the DB9's as well.

We have seen even better weight savings on the 355/330mm rotors - around 6lbs/rotor for the fronts & 5lbs for the rears. On the 380mm front rotors, ours weigh in at 23.8lbs, but should offer some reprieve from the current replacement cost of OEM 2-piece Brembos. We're putting these in to production now and expect to start shipping in about 3 weeks. As shipping is expensive, we will be working with James at David Appleby Engineering to try and consolidate a sea freight order and get some stock into Europe at good prices.

Definitely interested! Is stopping power comparable to the previous model?

It will be better than stock, due to the weight reduction, and weight reduction is a little higher than the Wilwoods as well.

Yes they do. Direct bolt on replacement for the stock rotors.

That is very interesting as I am still running my original rotors on my 2009 Vantage and will be due soon to replace them

I now have 86k km (53,500 miles) and I put Porterfiled R4-S on all 4 wheels when I first got the car back in 2016 at 29k km (18k miles). My car is a 6speed manual so braking is only the last bit to stop at lights and stop sign :-)

thanks. I have just about 30k on mine. I replaced my pads with R4-S about 3k miles ago. Still very little wear but may need to get rotors resurfaced... good to know!

Yes, there are fitments for the DB9, with Iron rotors. Same as for the Vantage.
