Wheel Dilemma

Loving my GT Vantage but I would really like to go up to 20” wheels.

Had some great advice on this forum from a V12 owner and I am now looking at Forgeline GS1. However, I am still struggling to understand the best width and offset for my particular car.

It looks like the GT has a slightly different set up as standard to the V12 so it’s tricky to compare the geometry apples for apples.

I am looking for an OEM look with only a very slight offset.

Using the calculators online and some OeM data, it looks like the following might be a good size but I’m not 100%.

Does anyone know if the -6mm reduction in clearance on the inside (front and rear) is going to be problem on the GT?

Original
8.5x19 ET50
10x19 ET60

New
9x20 ET50 (+6mm and -6mm)
10.5x20 ET60 (+6mm and -6mm)

Thanks

Why not just get OEM 20" wheels? Someone local has a black V12S and went from 19" to 20". At first, I thought that was his car in the picture. Does the local dealership have an extra set of wheels? When I had my Vantage they had a few sets of used wheels as I was going to buy a set for winter tires.

I have 20's with Michelin Pilot Sports on my vantage with the sport pack suspension. It is a very stiff ride. While I like the looks, stance and ride, my wife doesn't like harsh ride. I wouldn't have this set up for a daily driver

Correct me if wrong, but AFAIK there is no such thing as "OEM 20" wheels" for the Vantage; all OEM wheels were 18" or 19".

OP must be very lucky with the road quality where he lives. I find the roads have gotten so bad in most areas now that I would never plus size. FWIW I think the OP's car looks great in the attached photo, and would be a bit closer to perfection with about a 1/2 inch of drop, and with spacers to sit the wheels out maybe another 1/2 inch or so.

I think you're right on that! He said 20", but did not say from which model when he told me.

Those are sharp and have an OEM look them. Would have no idea they were not factory.

I kind of copied new V12 vantage wheels.
Wanted to stay with OEM look. Just waiting for new center caps with engraved Aston logo.

this looks great - thanks for the info. I asked and there was no 20” OEM wheel for the vantage of my year of car.

I also agree with all the comments on ride and this is a watch out for sure .

20"s fill out the wheel wells well. I have spacers to increase the stance. Still have my SportPack wheels which are best looking wheels for the Vantage

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I decided to keep the wheels and try out some 11mm spacers.

Fills things out just enough for me.
