Does anyone know the size of the battery retaining screws in the crystal key fob? 2015 Vantage V12S.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. A few got lost by both me and prior owner. I would like to replace the missing ones on the next battery charge.

Actually looking for the smaller screws that hold down the battery flap.

These guys are my go to, last resort for small screws... https://www.mcmaster.com/products/sc...rement~metric/

I know those screws, don't sneeze when doing the repair or they are gone...

I wonder if tearing an old iphone apart, or going to one of those pop-up booth i-gadgetry repair guys at the mall would get you one. It will be way cheaper than buy 100 from MC... I need a small circlip to fix the turn signal on an '71 BMW R75/5... I now have 99 spare but got it fixed!

Thanks for the reply. I went through my eyeglass screws and stock of salvaged computer screws without success. I will probably measure carefully and do McMaster Carr on next battery change.

Mcmaster is amazing. Been my go-to for a while.

@Mark Gronsbell the smaller one seems to be M0.85 x 2.5. FWIW, my vernier caliper may have some minor margin of error.

I ordered 0.8mm x 3mm from McMaster Carr. This is what I measured on my caliper. Hopefully they will be correct. I will know in a few days and will post the results.

The screw for the battery hold down is in fact 0.8 mm x 3 mm. The screws from McMaster Carr work perfectly. What a user-unfriendly design.

Glad you fixed it. And now you are ready if 99 other people need one!

Actually they sold the small screws individually at over $3/screw.
🤷🏼‍♂️

Mark, Is this the screw? Looks a little different from what is in the key now as they are more tapered towards the bottom to a point.

It’s been a while so I only remember that it worked without issue.
