So as I was getting back to remove more of my interior I had to open the top half way to get to some bolts. Well I put the roof up half way and turned off the car. Now it won’t move in either direction and it says roof failure! What did I do? Can the roof be closed manually?

 

Nevermind. I figured it out. Tonneau gas shocks must be getting weak and it dropped when it wasn’t supposed to. Didn’t realize you can move it all around by hand. Takes a bit of force

 

i just had the same thing happen to me yesterday , there is a procedure for resetting it , its in the manual

 

Unfortunately I didn’t get a manual with my car. Not sure how the po lost it. Didn’t ask
But my top is working ok now.

 

I hear that…I’m sure it’s because they are worth big money online…I bought one from the same city I got the car..turns out it was my book..the vendor to me pork pies…just making extra bucks I guess…
