Make sure you get the right coil if ordering DM Coil. They sent me the wrong coil's and I end up buying OEM instead.

DMCoil's reply regarding the red coil packs.
"The output voltage and ignition energy are both greater than 10% higher than standard coils."

I got the black ones and to be honest they are fine.

I suspect it was a question of the # of pins in the connector. The older wiring harnesses carried three wires to the coil, the newer ones are just 2 pin connectors.

Isn't it the other way around? 2005 and some 2006 were two pin, then they switched to three?

DMCoil's both coil packs are 3-pin. I think they do not offer 2-pin ones.

If someone still needs coils for a Rapide, I still have this MSD coil set available that may match a Rapide:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ks-v-12-a.html
I originally thought they would match my Vanquish but the coil body is different.
Here's the Rapide article where they were used:

I have just replaced coils and plugs on 2011 DBS. I sourced very inexpensive eBay coils as an experiment and used OEM updated spark plugs. Car has 20k mi. So I'll check it regularly to see how they hold up.
Less than $100 for 12 coils, running like a proper V12 after repairs.

Correct; the earlier cars have 2 pin with the later models (05/06 onwards) fitted with the 3-pin version

Hi,
How are the DMCOIL's holding out? Seem to get good reviews on a few sites for other manufacturers.

I'm also interested to know how the red DMCoils are holding up. My Vanquish is approaching 38k miles and a DBS owner recently recommended I change them soon.

Just looked them up on Amazon, and $419 is a damn good price for 12 coils.

What spark plugs would you recommend pairing with them?

Oh, wow, I just searched for the CD33-12405-AA-PK and... yeah... a set of twelve spark plugs costs more than the set of DMCoils! What?!

I found a set on Ebay for 260, shipping within the US (so no tariffs, thankfully). Jumped on them. I hope it's not a scam.

I think I bought mine from Aston Martin Bit or Scuderia. I am sure if you went by just the part number they could be found less expensive, but you wouldn't the nice white box for each plug.
